The start of a new year

My last posting was exactly a month ago.

Anyway, school started on Wednesday, so back to work. Due to my pregnancy, I'm exempted from quite a number of duties, e.g. OG tutor etc. So I've been quite free, the only responsibility that I have at the moment is to fine tune the lecture notes for next week as I'll be lecturing. I'm really depending on God to help me to deliver the lecture in such a way that no one will dislike Chemistry after attending their very first Chemistry lecture. :)

Today is Friday, so as usual, JC1 will have chapel. First chapel of the term (or year in this case), the college hymn was sung. The moment it was sung, I was struck by my own emotions, I missed 05S53. I missed them singing the College Hymn with their arms around one another (though I doubt all of them actually produced sound when they sang).

I hope the new batch of students will be as easy to get along with. I don't know if I'll be given a Civics class after I come back from my maternity leave. I hope I do.
