Mt. Faber

Last Saturday evening, we met up with 2 other couples for a drink (well, milk shakes are drinks too!) at Mt. Faber. It has been a long time since I last went there. I used to go there on weekday evenings and I could find a parking lot to park my car, though not many vacant lots. Anyway, this time it was a Saturday night, so we couldn't find a lot. We drove round twice and finally resigned to waiting for other cars to leave. Finally, we managed to find a lot. However, the parking lot wasn't a legal parking lot, double yellow line by the roadside. Having been brought up by my dad who is very particular about following traffic rules, I felt very uneasy. Serious, my dad is really very particular. Given the same situation, I'm sure he'll forgo the lot and will probably forgo the drink too. So, anyway, we parked our car and we met up with our friends. Throughout the night, I kept worrying about the car.

Nonetheless, the ambience was good and the scenery was breath-taking. I and LT, being the pregnant ones, could only watch when the rest ordered alcoholic drinks. I was so mad at hubby because he wanted to purposely order Bailey's coffee, my favourite coffee, just to tempt me. I settled for choc chip milk shake. Nice drink, reminded me of childhood. And so we kind of tcss till about 1am. Angela and Jason updated us on their wedding plans, LT and CX discussed with us some pregnancy issues etc etc etc....

It was really a nice evening, catching up with friends. And luckily, when we got back to our car, our car was still there, and I got a I-told-you-so look from hubby. Yea yea yea...smart alec...
