I was reading a student's blog and she said, "People often don't mean what they say." I was asking myself if I make this mistake myself.
Take for example, when I was entering the staffroom, a fellow colleague held the door for me, and my immediate response was 'thank you'. So, did I really mean it? Did I really appreciate her kindness of holding the door for me? Or did I say it out of courtesy? I think most probably the latter. So, well, I'm guilty.
That set me thinking how true is it when someone tells his or her other half 'I love you'. Is it out of obligation, or does he or she really mean it? Frankly, sometimes, I feel the word 'love' is too loosely used.
So do you really mean it?

Back to work
Today's the 3rd day of work after my maternity leave ended. Madness, madness, madness..... The schedules for Monday and Tuesday are crazy. I didn't even have proper lunch and decent rest. Take for example, yesterday I only had half an hour break, working from 7.30am all the way till 4.30pm. But somehow, deep within me, there's a voice telling me that I should be grateful I have a job. Many out there are jobless.
This was taken when Thaddaeus was slightly over one month old. My granny was carrying him.
Back to the love of my life. Thaddaeus is soooooooo cute...... but then again, all parents will say that about their child. He likes to smile, and I think he's beginning to learn to laugh, making some hee-hee sound with a big grin on his face. He has this scheming look on his face when he wants to stick his fingers into his mouth, perhaps knowing that we'll stop him from doing so.
Yesterday he greeted me with a big, sunny smile when I got back from work. Awwww....can't wait to go home today.
This was taken when he was 2-day old. The hospital had the phototaking service for babies, but of course with a fee, which is not cheap..... :( And the pic turned out to be quite heavily make-over. Oh well, still cute though.
